The cooling water hose is a flexible pipeline connecting the automobile engine and the radiator. Its main function is to convey coolant and dissipate heat to ensure the safe and normal operation of the engine.

At present, the working temperature of domestic cooling water rubber hose reaches 125 ℃, which is produced by sulfur vulcanized EPDM. The rubber hose includes three-layer structure: inner layer (EPDM), reinforcing layer and outer layer (EPDM).

2. Automotive air conditioning hose

The inner rubber layer of automobile air conditioning hose is made of EPDM, the reinforcing layer is woven with polyester fiber, and the outer rubber layer is EPDM, which is extruded and coated. It has the advantages of low permeability and high temperature resistance. It can be used in the environment of - 40 ~ 140 ℃ and even in the high temperature environment of 160 ℃. The automotive air conditioning hose is a hose product with high technical requirements, and its key technical index is low permeability.

Previously, styrene butadiene rubber was the main material used for the inner rubber layer of automobile brake hose. Recently, due to the emergence of maintenance free cars, the increase of working ambient temperature of brake fluid and the use of high boiling point brake fluid, EPDM or EPDM / butyl rubber has the trend to replace SBR.
